How to shop for great fitting pants
Now ladies. let's be honest. How many pairs of pants do you have in your
closet that you haven’t worn for ages because you don’t like the fit? Another
question, how many pairs of pants have you worn more than you wanted to because
they fit so well and you can’t seem to replace them? I am sure most of us
ladies can relate to this. Here are some tips for buying the perfect pants.
Think classic. Classic pants are masculine by design but can flatter any
body types. There are no pleats or gathers in the classic pants to add bulk.
The legs are flared oh so slightly, the front is flat and they give you a
streamlined look. Try on a few to ensure they are not too loose or too tight.
While we can all wear classic pants but cropped pants are a different story.
Not everyone is sold on the cropped pants yet my advice is that you have to
like them in order to wear them. Don’t just wear them because everyone else is.
All body types can look good in the straight legged version of these pants.
Paired with the right tops you can easily transition from work to casual wear.
If you are shorter, ensure the cropped pants don’t fit you like a regular pants
missing a few inches at the hem. If you can’t find them in petite sizes then
get them hemmed. Cropped pants fit great when the hem rests just below the mid
calf.
As you know the bell bottoms of the 70s never really went away even tough
they are called by other names now like “wide Legged” “flared leg” and a number
of other inventive terms to give one the illusion that they are wearing a new
style. However, the wide leg pants offer a lot of versatility whether you are
dressing casual or formal. The wide legged pants are an ideal fit for the curvy
body. However, they may not be ideal for the shorter figure.
Skinny
jeans are a relatively new invention and will be around for a long time.
While slimmer women seem to make most of the skinny jean, do not be daunted if
you are a plus size. With the proper top and accessories you too can make a
statement. Since they accentuate the midsection, ensure that you wear them with
tapered tops that fall just below the hips. The curvy woman should avoid skinny
jeans that are made from overly slinky or stretchy fabric.
When looking for the perfect pair of pants for work or play do not settle
for just any pants. Choose your pants carefully and they will reward you for a
long time. Pay special attention to fit and style for your particular body type.
And while we should always be budget conscious, you are better off buying a
great pair of well fitting pants for a few or more dollars than a discounted
pair that you want to throw out after the first wear.
